My Dreams are Vast...

2

My dreams are vast,
But how long will they last?
Only a drop of view,
In the form of encouragement from you,
O Lord, can guide my faltering steps today,
Lest I fall in depth of one day.
I prelude of zest,
And shower of love from you,
Can make me the best,
And give me the power to search something new.
Land me your hand,
Land me your steps,
So that I may never enter that land,
Where there is darkness,
And so darkness,
So, God Almighty,
Do me one more favour,
By indulging in a bit of labour,
And me as a string to your lute,
Our make me sing to the tune of your flute

  1. While ignorance pleads my sanity,
I smear by the raging monotone,
    My dreams I pray,
    To a figure of pristine,
    Why not thou shelter me,
behemoth your great hand of will,
    I prey and pray,
    Shudder when things go wrong,
    take your name,
Not then when I am joyous,
Nor when my dreams seem to come true,
Oh god you are just a string,
by which we all stick as a lifeboat,
    to the sinking ship

    Nice Blog Harshita.
